Smaller Government? Why?

13 May

What can society possibly benefit from smaller government? The history of capitalism will show us that any private body given free reign, as they often are, will take out more from the community than they put back in.

A smaller government, is effectively useless in regulating a number of industries and sectors in the community. The only way that the basics; health, education and infrastructure, can be provided adequately to society, is if the government has increased control over them.

I am not arguing for an increase in red tape, but there is a line that must be drawn when a right-wing government is looking to make cuts. Lowering taxes, decreasing the spending, and stepping back from necessary responsibilities is not what any developing or developed country needs.

All this does is increase the wealth of corporations within the private sector and allow them to continue the rape of this planet that they have been doing for years. It increases the already ridiculously large gap between the haves and have-nots.
